About Arthena Receipt Capture
Arthena Receipt Capture is an Android application developed by Arthena Web Solutions to make photographing and emailing receipts quicker and easier.
This privacy policy relates specifically to the Arthena Receipt Capture Android application.
Receipt Images
When you photograph or select a receipt, the image is used by the app so that receipt information can be recognised and prepared for emailing.
Receipt text recognition takes place on your Android device. Receipt images are not uploaded to an Arthena server for recognition.
Temporary copies of receipt images may be stored within the application's cache so they can be passed securely to the email application you choose to use.
Receipt Information
The app may detect information from a receipt such as:
- receipt date;
- merchant or business information;
- currency;
- total amount paid.
Detected information is shown to you before an email is prepared so that you can check and correct it if necessary.
Your Destination Email Address
You can enter the email address to which you normally send your receipts, such as a work, expenses, accounts or bookkeeping address.
This destination email address is stored locally on your device within the application's private settings.
Arthena Receipt Capture does not require you to create an Arthena account to use the app.
Email Passwords
Arthena Receipt Capture does not ask for, receive or store your email account password.
When you choose to email a receipt, the app prepares the recipient, subject and receipt attachment and then hands the message to your selected email application.
Your email application is responsible for sending the message.
Internet Access
Arthena Receipt Capture itself does not request Android's Internet permission.
The app is designed so receipt recognition can take place locally on your phone.
Your selected email application may, of course, use an internet connection when you choose to send the prepared email. That activity is controlled by the email application and its provider.
Sharing With Your Email Application
When you choose to email a receipt, the receipt image is made available to the email application selected by you so that it can be attached to the message.
Once information is passed to another application, that application's own privacy policy and data-handling practices apply.
Automatic Receipt Recognition
Receipt recognition is provided as a convenience and may not interpret every receipt correctly.
You should always check the detected receipt date, amount and other information before sending an email.
Children
Arthena Receipt Capture is a general business and utility application and is not specifically designed or directed towards children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated if the functionality of Arthena Receipt Capture changes or if additional privacy information needs to be provided.
